Kyrgyzstan in 2014 reduced productivity of wheat
Almaty. February 9. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan in 2014 decreased the wheat yield by 7.3% compared to 2013, transfers KyrTAG.
"This is due to the fact that most of the wheat was planted in Chui and Issyk-Kul regions where occurred drought and water shortage",- said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Janybek Kerimaliev.
According to him, in Chui harvest was 13.4 centners per hectare, in Issyk-Kul region - 16.2 centners per hectare. Both figures felt.
"In Batken region this type of crop was 15.8 centners per hectare, and decreased by 1.9%, the same indicators were in other regions", - said J. Kerimaliev.
According to the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, only in Jalal-Abad region, crop yields have increased by 0.6% to 24.1 centners per hectare.
