Bishkek. July 16. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan intends to introduce an "open sky" and not to interfere in the operations of airlines, reports KyrTAG.
"If we introduce the regime of "open skies", the government will not interfere in the activities of airlines in setting ticket prices, the implementation of the freight and passenger traffic", - said the Minister of Economy of KR Temir Sariev during a meeting of the International Business Council on Wednesday.
According to him, this project work is carried out since 2012.
The minister noted the possibilty to reduce ticket prices, upgrade fleet, as well as to withdraw Kyrgyzstan from the "black list" of the European Union.
"There are eight stages of freedom of airspace. We are in the fourth stage of "openness" of the sky. It would be advantage for us to conduct the fifth and sixth stages of "freedom of the air".  Under such conditions, many airlines could fly in transit through Kyrgyzstan. One "open" sky in this direction will not be enough. We need to introduce set of measures "- said the Minister of Economy.
