Almaty. November 21. Silkroadnews - The impetus for the development of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan is the introduction of the policy of liberalization of air space, said Economy Minister of the KR Temir Sariev
Speaking at a roundtable on "Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic: Problems and Solutions" in Bishkek, the Minister said that the aviation industry is an important part of the global economy, providing growth in trade, tourism and foreign investment.
According to him, at this time the development of civil aviation has a number of significant issues that require urgent response: loss payments in connection with the conclusion of the Transit Center "Manas"; high prices for tickets and a small number of directions; low capacity utilization of airports; outdated air fleet, construction equipment park, apron mechanization and vehicles (infrastructure).
He said that the countries that do not have access to the coast, facing difficulties associated with remoteness from international markets, as well as inadequate infrastructure and Kyrgyzstan in this sense, is no exception.
As noted by T. Sariev, the last 7 years in the aviation industry in Kyrgyzstan has seen rapid growth in passenger traffic from local and foreign airlines.
