Kyrgyzstan offers Kazakhstan 300 million cubic meters of water for irrigation season in exchange for 1 billion kWh of electricity in the winter

Almaty. July 28. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan proposed Kazakhstan 300 million cubic meters of water in irrigation season in exchange for 1 billion kWh of electricity in the winter, said KyrTAG.
According to report, Kazakh side in negotiations requested for 390 million cubic meters of water.
In addition, during the negotiations, Kazakhstan agreed to supply Kara-Balta Mining Plant by 1.5 tons of concentrated natural uranium.
"On raw materials for the Kara-Balta Mining Plant, we have reached an understanding, but not in the amounts we wished. We requested 2.5-3 tons of concentraeted natural uranium, the Kazakh side agreed on 1.5 million tons",- said T. Sariev.
In addition, the Kazakh side proposed Kyrgyz refineries to conclude contracts on the supply of crude oil, with discussion of it's duty-free in the future.
As recalled by the agency, on Saturday, July 26, Cholponata held Kazakh-Kyrgyz negotiations on accession to the Customs Union of the Kyrgyz Republic.
