Kyrgyzstan opened textile enterprise with capacity of 30 tonnes per day

Almaty. February 1. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Sooronbai Jeenbekov took part in the opening ceremony of the new enterprise LLC “Trans Textiles” in Chui region of Chui oblast, KyrTAG wrote.

“Opening of this company is expected to decrease Kyrgyzstan’s dependence on imports of textile products in the form of fabric, thus, will allow the production costs reduction for local garment manufacturers”, S. Jeenbekov said.
General Director of LLC “Trans Textiles” Almazbek Abdraev said, the company will use modern equipment and high quality raw materials from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China, to produce goods with a long life cycle.

According to him, at the initial stage the overall performance is projected to amount to 9-10 tonnes of products per day and 225 tonnes per month. In the future, with an increase in capacity it is planned to produce up to 30 tonnes per day. The company creates 150 job places.

The company’s operation became possible due to preferential loans the local entrepreneurs got through the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund. The total project cost made $9.5 million, of which $7.5 million were allocated from the fund.
