Bishkek. September 9. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan plans in 7 years to build 42 power plants with a total capacity of 270 MW, reported KyrTAG with reference to the Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Valery Dil.
V.Dil during a meeting with the head of the Swiss energy company «Stucky» Antoine Dyuba and a member of the Board of Directors of "Kyrgyz-Swiss Bank" Yurka Staubli on Tuesday informed about the conditions of doing business in the country, while noting that Kyrgyzstan is interested in entering the European companies to the domestic market.
"In the energy development program we have planned the construction of 42 stations in 7 years with a total capacity of 270 MW. We adopted a law on renewable electricity. Here prescribed ratio of the base rate, defined mechanism for elaborating tariff policy",- said V.Dil.
CEO of «Stucky» exppressed the interest in the construction of hydroelectric various capacities, the conditions of investment in small and medium power, public investment protection.
"Kyrgyzstan has great potential not only for the sale of electricity in the country, but also great opportunities for its exports. I also want to mention the prospects of CASA-1000 project, which is now being implemented",- said A.Dyuba.
Following the meeting, A.Dyuba expressed his intention to start work on the design and construction of hydropower plants up to 30 MW.
