Kyrgyzstan’s authorities plan building toll roads with existing ones to be used on a paid basis

Almaty. May 2. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Transport and Roads proposes to build toll roads while using the existing roads on a paid basis, KyrTAG reports.
“The proposal is to build the toll roads on the basis of public-private partnership, and start using the existing roads on a paid basis”, the government officials said.
Currently the public roads repair and maintenance take around 55-60% of the budget, thus, as the draft document says, to avoid the republican budget burden it is necessary to introduce the toll road practice.
