Kyrgyzstan’s current heating season requires more than 2 million tonnes of coal, profile department officials say

Almaty. October 31. Silkroadnews – For 2016-2017 autumn-winter period the country needs 2 million 266 thousand tonnes of coal, KyrTAG writes.

“Throughout the country it is necessary to prepare 2 million 266.2 thousand tonnes of coal for the autumn-winter period. Within the volume specified 257.9 thousand tonnes for budgetary institutions, 1 million 58,3 thousand tonnes for population, for Bishkek combined heat and power plant – 950 thousand tonnes, including 450 tonnes of domestic coal”, acting chairman of JSC “National Energy Holding” Aibek Kaliev said during the selector government meeting on the autumn-winter heating period on Monday.

He also noted it is planned to procure 43.374 thousand tonnes of fuel oil in the republic.

“As of October 28 on the budgetary institutions it is procured 674.055 thousand tonnes of coal with the plan of 355.011 thousand tonnes (189.87%). 605 fuel bases and coal points of sale have been opened all over the republic”, A. Kaliev added.
