Kyrgyzstan’s GDP growth in January-April reached 7.7%

Almaty. May 15. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan’s GDP volume in January-April 2017 increased by 7.7% and amounted to 121 billion som, KyrTAG writes.

According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, in January-April the volume of gross domestic product, as preliminary estimates show, amounted to around 121 billion som, which is a 7.7% growth year on year.

Excluding enterprises operating in the Kumtor field development, the volume of gross domestic product in January-April 2017 amounted to more than 107 billion som, i.e. a 4% growth.

The volume of industrial output over the period considered amounted to more than 68 billion som and grew 36.3% compared to the appropriate period of the previous year. The production growth is provided by increase in the extraction of metal ores, basic metals output, refined petroleum products, clothing and food products.

The volume of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning exceeded the level of January-April 2016 by 14.4%.
