Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with the countries of Central Asia fell by 18.7% to $1.3 billion

Almaty. April 5. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with the countries of Central Asia fell by 18.7% and amounted to $1.3 billion, the minister of economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev said, KyrTAG reports.  

“As a whole, trade turnover with Central Asian countries decreased by 18.7% and made $1 billion 337 million for 2015. It makes about 25% of overall trade with other countries,” said A. Kozhoshev at the press conference on Tuesday.

He noted, the decline in trade with a number of states is in line with the general world economic crisis, which resulted in decrease of export and import volumes in all countries. This assumes that the purchasing power of the population fell.

In the structure of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover Afghanistan makes 0.15%, Turkmenistan - 0.2%, Tajikistan - 1.4%, Uzbekistan - 2.7%, with Kazakhstan’s share in the total trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic of 18.2% in 2015.
