Kyrgyzstan tightens methods of counterfeit alcohol controlling

Almaty. June 29. Silkroadnews – The zhogorku kenesh deputies considered amendments to the law “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products” in the second reading and submitted it for voting, KyrTAG wrote.
“The bill proposes to introduce a unified state automated information system into the alcohol industry”, the report said.
The system introduction will allow ensuring the completeness and reliability of accounting for production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcohol and alcohol-containing products, with possibility of detailing down to a specific producer, type, name of products, strength, volume, keeping records of imports of alcohol and alcohol products with control over the correctness of excise duty assessed.
“Besides, we will get the opportunity to keep records and control of excise stamps, analyze the state and trends in production and turnover of ethyl alcohol and alcoholic products in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The law will make it more difficult and impossible to sell counterfeit products”, the report says.
