Kyrgyzstan to develop state program to combat terrorism and religious extremism
Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews – Yesterday Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhenish Razakov held a working meeting on development of the state program to combat terrorism and religious extremism in Kyrgyzstan, KyrTAG reports.
Zh. Razakov noted the importance of this program, taking into account the global scale of religious extremism and terrorism threat.
The special attention, as it was noted during the meeting, should be paid to strengthening the prevention of religious extremism in society, particularly among young people sensitive to the destructive forces’ influence.
Zh. Razakov emphasized it is necessary to raise the level of state bodies’ interaction, including law enforcement agencies and local governments in identifying the facts of extremist terrorist activities, and efforts to strengthen security measures.
One of the major objectives of the program should be to ensure the security of society and the state by preventing manifestations of religious extremism and prevent the threat of terrorism.
Following the meeting, Vice Prime Minister instructed to create an interdepartmental working group that will develop this state program on the fight against terrorism and religious extremism.
