Kyrgyzstan to settle VAT taxation for goods from EEU states
Almaty. October 7. Silkroadnews – Kyrgyzstan should settle VAT taxation for goods from the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) states in its territory, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) informs.
As noted, the EEC has made a decision aimed at providing equal conditions for products of the EEU member states for their taxation in Kyrgyzstan.
«Food and some other goods produced from Kyrgyz agricultural raw materials shall be exempt from VAT within the Kyrgyz Republic. At the same time similar goods produced from agricultural raw materials of other union member states are subject to 12% VAT when sold in the Kyrgyz Republic. This is a contradiction to Article 71 of the EEU Treaty», statement released on Thursday says.
Thus, within the Kyrgyz Republic taxation of goods produced from agricultural raw materials of the EEU member states is carried out in less favorable conditions compared to the taxation of goods produced from domestic raw materials.
In accordance with the decision made the government of the Kyrgyz Republic is proposed within 10 calendar days from the date when the decision comes into force to inform the EEU on the measures to be taken to remove this obstacle.
