Kyrgyzstan transferred to Kazakhstan $20 million for electricity imports
Almaty. December 4. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan transferred to Kazakhstan $20 million for imported electricity, reports KyrTAG referring to the Minister of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Turdubaev.
According to the minister, this amount is an advance payment for the first month. After transfer Kazakhstan gives Kyrgyz side bank guarantees that the electricity will be provided in full.
"At present, electricity is provided by Kazakh side in the amount of 5 - 5.5 million kWh of electricity", - he added.
As noted K.Turdubaev, it is planned that within a month from Kazakhstan will be imported 200 million kWh of electricity.
As recalled by the Minister, electricity from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan has started to deliver on December 1. Total imports will reach 1 billion 400 million kWh of electricity.
