Almaty. October, 30. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan will begin to import electricity from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in early November, said the Minister of Energy and Industry Kubanichbek Turdubaev at a press conference on Thursday.
According to him, the price of imported electricity will be determined in the coming days.
"Kyrgyzstan is currently preparing the relevant documents on the import of electricity. The total amount of imported electricity will be 1 billion kilowatt / hour, the agreement has already been reached on the volume. Contract ready for signature",- said the Minister.
Moreover, according to him, Kyrgyzstan in spring will begin negotiations with Tajikistan on the import of electricity.
Meanwhile, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Tayirbek Sarpashev, from January 1, 2015 the country will introduce new tariffs for electricity.
