Kyrgyzstan will establish a single institution for investments attraction and export promotion

Almaty. April 29. Silkroadnews – The government will establish a single institution for investments and export development, prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov said, KyrTAG reports.

“To use the EEU’s full export potential and opportunities for the benefit of our country, search and enter into new markets, the government will create a single institution to develop the investments attraction and exports,” said S. Jeenbekov at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic presenting a report on the government’s activities in 2015.

He emphasized the Institute shall work with each exporter.

“Last week I visited the “Ak-Tilek” checkpoint on the border with Kazakhstan. The real picture on the border is far from the one the state authorities describe. Long queues of cars, lack of infrastructure, inconsistence of border, customs and tax services this all create difficulties for the exporters to work,” S. Jeenbekov said.

The prime minister said the specific measures shall be worked out on each item to bring the checkpoints into the order.

He also added the measures will be taken to remove the veterinary control at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border area and extend the list of confiscations on the common customs tariff (CCT) for the Kyrgyz Republic in the priority sectors.
