Almaty. April 9. Silkroadnews - Kyrgyzstan can not on their own, without the participation of international experts  solve the problem of Kumtor. This opinion was expressed by Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev, transmits KyrTAG.
"On March 30, for my name came a letter from two major specialists. They believe that the Board of Directors of Centerra Gold Inc. does not work well, and they offer to change its composition. Without the participation of the international community, we can not solve the problem ourself. Independent candidates to the Board of Directors with international status must work together with us",- said the Prime Minister at a press conference on Thursday.
According to him, it is necessary to improve the management of the company, which is now ineffective. To do this, the Board of Directors must enter international specialists who should have significant management experience and be an expert in the mining industry and finance.
"We put forward the independent directors that will protect not only the interests of Kyrgyzstan, but all shareholders. This is crucial. Next week, the candidates are invited to Kyrgyzstan", - he continued.
According D.Otorbaev, for the board of directors were offered 10 candidates, including three from Kyrgyzstan and seven independent foreign candidates, as well as two experts seeking to offer their assistance to the Prime Minister.
As recalled by the agency, on the eve, the chairman of the Fund for State Property Management Duishon Irsaliev was removed from the duties for one month by the order of the Prime Minister.
