Latvia is investigating a case of theft of Tajik cotton worth 9 million EUR
Almaty. March 12. Silkroadnews - Latvia is investigating the case of stealing of "80 wagons of Tajik cotton in the amount of 9 million euros", reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Thursday.
"The Office for Combating Economic Crimes of Latvia announces the completion of a criminal investigation of the theft of 80 cars of Tajik cotton, worth 9 million euros", - says the publication.
In a criminal case, which is now being submitted to the prosecutor, featured three people. In particular, in the theft of cotton from Tajikistan accused Gul Muhammad Gulomi - Afghan native residing in Latvia, his wife Valentina Gulomi and another woman. Mentioned personalities by fictitious entity reissued the document on goods to another person and took the cotton from the Latvian customs warehouses.
Meanwhile, the suspected man passes by other high-profile criminal case. He denies any involvement in the theft of Tajik cotton.
Earlier media of Latvia reported that Tajik President personally asked the leader of Latvia Andris Berzinsha to assist in the investigation of the disappearance of cotton from Tajikistan.
Now the case is in the prosecutor's office. After appropriate procedures, it will be submitted to the court.
