Launch of the new Iranian satellite is scheduled for January 2015

Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews - Launch of the new Iranian satellite is scheduled for early January 2015, Iranian media reported.
According to the publication, the new satellite is called "Sharifsat" and was created by scientists and engineers of Polytechnic University "Sharif".
According to the deputy director of the Iranian Space Agency, Hamid Fazeli the launch expect a number of other satellites - "Fajr" ("Dawn") and "Tadbir" ("Wisdom"). According to him, "on the way" and a brand new artificial satellite "Nahid" ("Venus").
Iran is one of the 24 founding countries of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes, established in 1959. Iran's first satellite was launched in 2009. It was a research unit of its own production, which was named "Omid" ("Hope").
