Leader of a terrorist group has been detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan during a special operation

Almaty. August 24. Silkroadnews – Officers of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan during a special operation in Bishkek detained the leader of a terrorist organization, KyrTAG writes.

«Overnight into August 24 the SCNS officers in Bishkek carried on operation to arrest a clandestine terrorist group leader, 24-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan O.I.», State Committee of National Security reported.

During the arrest the authorities found and confiscated Makarov pistol, RGD-5 grenade, detonating cords for explosive devices, ammunition of 5.45 and 9 mm caliber, jihadist materials on electronic media and three mobile phones.

The detainee has been taken into custody. A criminal case has been initiated on detention. The SCNS authorities continue investigative operations.
