Almaty. November 25. Silkroadnews – The underdeveloped system for monitoring of foreign visitors’ travelling in Kazakhstan builds a fertile ground for illegal immigration and terrorist threats, deputy head of the general prosecutor of Kazakhstan office Nurdilda Oraz said, KazTAG writes.

“This year the number of foreigners crossing the state border with fictive invitations and fraudulent documents has increased. 1097 facts have been registered. The prosecutor’s authorities have prevented work of channels organized by the criminal groups for illegal migration of foreigners from China and Uzbekistan to Almaty, Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions”, N. Oraz said.

At the same time, he pointed out the reasons behind such a situation.

“The reasons behind the current situation are some problematic issues existing in the current system of the state control, there are also some weaknesses in the unified information system “Berkut” used for migration control by the border services and internal affairs agencies. The system to monitor the foreigners travelling within the country is also not highly efficient so far. These problems create fertile ground for illegal migration, corruption and raise the level of terrorist threat”, he added.

According to him, the Prosecutor General’s Office has submitted specific proposals to the government to solve the problem issues.
