Lithuania is interested in export to the Kazakh market due to the Russian sanctions
Almaty. May 20. Silkroadnews - Lithuania is interested in export to the Kazakh market because of Russian sanctions. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius, reports KazTAG.
"Our exports to Russia amounted to 20.8% before the sanctions. The European Commission forecasted that the negative impact will be the largest precisely for Lithuania compared to other EU countries, but we must admit that our government has taken swift action on the search for new markets for our exports", - said A. Butkevicius on the Kazakh-Lithuanian business forum in Almaty on Wednesday.
He noted that the sanctions impacted minimal for the Lithuanian economy, and pointed to a number of countries as new markets for Lithuanian exports.
"This is, first of all, the USA, Brazil, Oman, Israel. And today's visit shows that we are also interested in the Kazakh market", - concluded the Prime Minister of Lithuania
