Loudspeakers not to be used in Bishkek mosques at night
Almaty. July 19. Silkroadnews – The Bishkek mosques has been assigned with sanitary regulations to reduce the sound volume during night time, KyrTAG reported with reference to the capital’s State Sanitary Inspection on Tuesday.
“A number of complaints from people living in Bishkek has increased recently in regard to the capital mosques’ azan sound volume. Due to this, the Bishkek center of the State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Oversight issued relevant sanitary regulations to reduce the sound volume during night time,” the center’s representatives informed.
Besides, to discuss the issue the center staff met with representatives of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. Following the meeting an agreement in principle has been reached not to use loudspeakers at night.
The monitoring of implementation of the sanitary regulations issued to be carried out this week.
