“Lucky” licence plates to cost USD 2 300 to Kazakhstan car owners

Astana. April 29. Silkroadnews – Kazakhstan has set a special tariff for the licence plates that some of the citizens consider to be prestigious.

At the same time, the licence plates that contain the sets of numbers mentioned below are subject to a tariff set at 22 800% of MCI or KZT 422 256: “001”, “002”, “003”, “004”, “005”, “006”, “007”, “008”, “009”, “777”.
The people who choose to possess this type of licence plates feel the sense of entitlement and inclusion to some exclusive breed of people.
Those licence plates were previously acquired by bribing corrupt police officials. The bribes were equivalent to current tariffs.
