Meat prices in Kyrgyzstan are at record prices

Bishkek. August 29. Silkroadnews - «Meat prices in July 2014 did not change and remained at a record highs. Cost of 1 kg of mutton amounts to 330 soms, beef about 320 soms"-  reports KazTAG citing specialist of public relations UN World Food Programme in Kyrgyzstan Elizabeth Zalkind.
According to her, the prices of mutton and beef as compared to July 2013 increased by 10% and 11%, respectively.
Price data are based on the monthly price monitoring by WFP in seven urban and 13 rural markets across the country, as well as on data from the National Statistics Committee monitoring the markets in urban areas.
