Media Forum of the SCO started in Moscow

Almaty. July 28. Silkroadnews - Forum of heads of the leading mass media of the SCO member states "Towards to common information space of SCO" will be held in Moscow on Tuesday, reported Russian media.
The main topics of the forum will be the issues of building of a common information space of SCO based on pluralism of views and journalistic ethics. The forum participants are planning to adopt a joint declaration.
During the discussions, the heads of major media companies will exchange views on the principles of the formation of a common information space of the SCO, as well as the role of media in the development of a partnership between the member countries, observers and dialogue partners. Among the priority topics and strategies to counter threats and challenges in the global information field.
It is expected that in the final declaration of the forum, participants will touch upon themes of strengthening and expanding cooperation between the media of the SCO for the formation of the audience and accurate picture of a multipolar world. Participants also will pay attention to information security and countering the penetration of extremist ideas in the mass media of the SCO countries.
The SCO includes six states - Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
