Meeting of the Heads of Turkic Council member states will be held in Kyrgyzstan this autumn

Almaty. June 2. Silkroadnews – Preparatory measures for the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) have been discussed in the ministry of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.

On June 1 the minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Idrissov held a meeting with Ramil Hasanov, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council. During the meeting the sides discussed issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkic Council, as well as preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Heads of Turkic Council member states to be held in Kyrgyzstan this autumn.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, or the Turkic Council, is an international organization established in October 2009 at the initiative of president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Turkic Council members are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. The secretariat of the organization is located in Istanbul.
