Meeting of the SCO Council opens in Dushanbe on July 31

Almaty. July 30. Silkroadnews - Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states will be held on July 31 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), reported the information department of the MFA RT on Wednesday.
As expected, the foreign ministers of the SCO member states will discuss and agree on the agenda of the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is scheduled for September this year in Dushanbe.
Tajikistan Foreign Ministry noted that "given the evolving situation in the region, the formation of an effective and reliable system of regional security in Tajikistan is becoming one of the urgent tasks. In this regard, further deepening and expansion of relations in the framework of the SCO in all spheres is in the interests of our country and the region".
Also on July 31 Tajik President Emomali Rahmon will meet "Shanghai six" ministers. The meeting will be held at the Palais des Nations.
Kazakhstan delegation is headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Idrisov.
