Members of Japanese organized crime group detained in China on suspicion of fraud in telecommunications sector

Almaty. July 13. Silkroadnews – China’s law enforcement authorities reported the detention of 35 Japanese citizens on suspicion of fraud in telecommunications sector, The Star Tribune’s office in the US reported.
“China says it has detained 35 Japanese citizens on suspicion of telecoms fraud. The June 30 detentions appeared to mark the largest roundup of Japanese citizens engaged in suspected illegal activity in China in years”, report reads.
It is explained that the victims of fraud were Chinese citizens who received false banks notifications demanding to transfer money to certain accounts in avoid fines or win prizes.
