Mezentsev awarded “Honorary Baikonur Citizen” status posthumously

Almaty. April 11. Silkroadnews – Alexander Mezentsev, who has been heading Baikonur town administration for over a decade, was awarded “Honorary Baikonur Citizen” status posthumously”, as the town administration reports.
The employees of town administration suggested Mister Mezentsev’s candidacy for the title.
“We are proud of Alexander Mezentsev. We are treasuring memory of him in our hearts”, the head of Russian Federal Space Agency, Oleg Ostapenko, is quoted.
