More than 100 people got hurt as a result of a landslide in the Chinese village of Xinmo

Almaty. June 26. Silkroadnews – At least 118 people reported missing as a result of a landslide in the village of Xinmo, south-west China’s Sichuan province, Russian media report.
The authorities have published a complete list of people reported missing.
By now, the rescuers have officially confirmed 15 people dead. The hard-to-reach area of the disaster complicates the rescue works. In addition, part of the roads to the village is also blocked with stones and rocks.
Currently, the search and rescue operation involving around 3.2 thousand people and more than 150 pieces of equipment continues. According to the emergency headquarter’s representatives, there is still a possibility to find people alive under the rubble.
The landslide struck the village of Xinmo on June 24 at around 06.00 a.m. local time.
