Almaty. August 22. Silkroadnews - Iranians have donated more than $15 million for reconstruction of Shiite shrines in neighboring Iraq in the past year (which by Gregorian calendar was completed on March 21 this year), reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Friday.
According to the deputy head of the organization and the content of the reconstruction of Iraq shrines Kasem Saradzhan, this amount includes donations of ordinary Iranians, both in the form of cash and in the form of gold, jewelry and other items that have monetary value.
It is expected that this year the amount of such donations will be at least $26 million, addded K. Saradzhan.
