More than 20 thousand Kazakhstanis to visit Chinese island of Hainan this year
Almaty. August 14. Silkroadnews – More than 20 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan will visit the Chinese island of Hainan this year, the newspaper “People’s Daily” reported.
This year more than 20 thousand Kazakhstani tourists will visit Hainan. For today there are two direct flights from Kazakhstan to Hainan Province, they are Almaty - Sanya and Astana – Sanya flights performed once a week by the Kazakhstani airline “Scat”. For today, flights are considered as successful with 90% occupancy rate, the report quotes saying by officials of the Tourism Department of Hainan Province.
Kazakhstan, as it is noted, is the only country in Central Asia that has an agreement on visa-free entry to the resort.
According to the officials, Hainan Province has a visa-free regime with 26 countries. Kazakhstan is the only state in Central Asia that has an agreement on visa-free entry to the resort. Group visas are registered for groups from five people and more and do not require a personal interview. Such visa allows tourists from Kazakhstan to stay on the island for up to 15 days.
The publication says, Hainan Province Day will be carried out in the pavilion of China at the international exhibition EXPO in Astana on August 14. The event, as expected, will be attended by Yu Xun, the chairman of the People’s Political Consultative Conference of Hainan Province, as well as representatives of business circles of Hainan and Kazakhstan, diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, representatives of Chinese and Kazakhstani media. During the event the contracts will be signed between the enterprises of Hainan and Kazakhstan.
