Beijing. March 1. Silkroadnews - More than 30 White House officials have lost their ‘top secret” intelligence access, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) writes with reference to TASS.
According to the sources, more than three dozen officials of the US President Donald Trump’s administration have been downgraded to accessing only “Secret” rather than “Top Secret” intelligence, the statement on Thursday said.
The point in case is about the so-called temporary clearances issued while the employees’ background is checked by the FBI.
Among the officials downgraded there is the president’s adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner. The decision on the changes introduced was taken by the White House chief of staff John Kelly.
As the CNN pointed out, the check of the background of many of the White House officials has not been completed so far, as many of them had never held public office before joining Trump’s administration. Also, delays may be caused by the their financial or other ties with citizens of other countries.
