More than 50 people were killed in a landslide in Afghanistan
Almaty. April 28. Silkroadnews - At least 52 people were killed in a landslide in north-eastern Afghanistan, province of Badakhshan, reports Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
According to the provincial governor Shah Waliullah Adeeb, the tragedy occurred Havhan rayon close to the border with Tajikistan.
Among buried under an avalanche - 25 women and 22 children.
So far the real impact of the happened is difficult to judge, since the scene is in a remote area, about 200 km from the provincial capital - the city of Faizabad. At present, roads are blocked by snow drifts, and you can get there only by helicopter.
