More than 70 people were killed due to collapse of a power plant in Eastern China

Almaty. November 25. Silkroadnews – Number of people killed in collapse of cooling towers platform constructed at the power station in the city of Fengcheng of Jiangxi Province (Eastern China) has risen to 74, two people got injured.

Bodies of 68 killed people have been identified; the victims range in age from 23 to 53 years old. Local government communicates with relatives of the victims and ensures the psychological support.

As Chinese media reports, the concrete building structures of cooling towers crashed to the ground at the power station in the city of Fengcheng in the morning on November 24.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the authorities of Jiangxi Province and relevant departments to make every effort to help the families of the people killed and injured and eliminate the consequences of the collapse.
