More than 70 “Taliban” militants have been killed in Nuristan province of Afghanistan

Almaty. July 1. Silkroadnews - 73 insurgents of “Taliban” were killed as a result of clearing operation in the eastern Afghan province of Nuristan, according to Afghan news agency (AfTAG).
“Tolo” TV channel reports, the fighting took place in the district of Kamdesh. The major operation became a response to the actions by insurgents attacking the local checkpoints. Both ground and air units have been involved in the operation.
According to the command officials, there were foreign nationals among the dead militants.
Data by the official sources report no law enforcement officers got injured in the course of operation, civilian casualties are also avoided.
