Moscow hosts CSTO summit of Heads of State

Almaty. December 23. Silkroadnews - Moscow opened session of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), reports KazTAG.
According to the information, among those to be discussed in a narrow composition - a state of crisis response system in CSTO global and regional security challenges, the implementation of the decision of the CSTO Council for assistance to Tajikistan to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border, as well as to check the readiness of collective forces of operative CSTO response to the objectives as intended.
Also at the plenary session handed down two questions on the situation in the CSTO zone of responsibility and improving the system of collective security, as well as the priorities of the Organization during the presidency of Tajikistan in 2015.
Special attention will be paid to the situation in Afghanistan.
Following the talks, for signing are being prepared 22 documents - Statement of Heads of State, 19 decisions and 2  protocol.
In the meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the narrow part are participating Russian President Vladimir Putin, the head of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Armenia, Alexander Lukashenko, Almazbek Atambayev, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Emomali Rahmon and Serzh Sargsyan and CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha. Later, the participants will join leaders of delegations of Member States of the Organization, and then planned to sign bilateral documents.
