National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has raised the refinancing rate to 10.5%

Almaty. December 31. Silkroadnews - In connection with the acceleration of inflation, refinancing rate was increased to 10.5%,  reported the KyrTAG with reference to the National Bank.
"Given the increased pressure on the exchange rate and the acceleration of inflation caused by both external and internal factors, the National Bank decided to raise the refinancing rate by 50 basis points to 10.5% per annum", - said on the website.
As noted, the inflationary background formed by external and internal factors, which remains high. To keep inflation within the stated benchmarks for 2014 National Bank on a regular basis made decisions about the size of the discount rate, and also used other measures of monetary policy.
"According to preliminary data, as of mid-December accumulated since the beginning of the year, inflation is 10.3%, resulting in annual average inflation rate for 2014 that was 7.5%", - said the National Bank.
