National sports festival will be held in the CIS

Almaty. February 19. Silkroadnews - national sports festival will be held in the Commonwealth of Independent States, said the agency BelTA.
"Last year, the CIS heads of government approved the program of support and development of national sports for the period up to 2020 and an action plan for its implementation on the three-year period. National sports festival established by a decision of the Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. In turn, the working group at the meeting, which takes place on February 18-19 in Minsk, develops and approves the draft provisions on this event",- said in a statement.
It is noted that the festival will be held to strengthen the traditionally friendly relations existing between the peoples of the Commonwealth, the preservation of national sports and games as historical heritage, promotion and development of their internationally. It should create conditions for the development of existing and revival of lost national sports, as well as to promote their integration into the international competitive practice.
In particular, the idea worked out a plan of action to determine the total mass character, selecting 4-5 sports, which will be held in all CIS countries. In addition to the basic plan of each country will be given the opportunity to show national (original) sports.
As planned, the events of the festival will include not only competitions and games, but also the organization of exhibitions, conferences and demonstrations. The emphasis is on the fact that the festival will promote a healthy lifestyle by engaging in sports general population.
