Nazarbayev tells National Bank to come up with draft law on Tax Amnesty and Asset Repatriation

Astana. April 11. Silkroadnews – Kazakh President Nazarbayev told its National Bank to submit a draft law on Tax Amnesty and Asset Repatriation by the 1st of June 2011. His statement was made at the working session of the National Investors Council.
“Unlike our previous attempts in this area, this action needs to be enforced even through introduction of universal declaration. It is necessary to ensure efficiency, confidentiality, marketability and objectivity of the programme”, he added.
He thinks that companies need to actively invest domestically, as opposed to investing abroad. Good investment options might be petrochemical industry, infrastructure and social projects.
