Nazarbayev wishes happy 80th anniversary to Almaty Choreographic School named after A. V. Seleznev

Astana. May 13. Silkroadnews – Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev sent his regards to the team of the Almaty Choreographic School named after A. V. Seleznev as it celebrates its 80th anniversary.
“Kazakhstan Ballet School has a rich history. The country is proud of who it nurtured. Many of them have become Laureates and recipients of prestigious international awards. Their achievements and recognition reflect on the tutor talent pool of your lovely choreographic art school throughout generations”, President’s message states.
As reported, the 80th anniversary concert was held the other day. The program showcased folk dances of various nations, modern choreography as well as classic ballet.
Almaty choreographic school named after A.V. Seleznev is the oldest educational facility in Kazakhstan. The school was named after People’s Artist of Kazakh SSR, Alexander Seleznev. He used to head the school for many years.
