Nearly 300 managers faced corruption charges within last 1.5 years in Kazakhstan

Astana. June 5. Silkroadnews – Nearly 300 people at various managerial roles faced criminal charges for corruption within last 1.5 years in Kazakhstan, as Marat Akhmetzhanov, the Deputy Chairman of Kazakh Financial Police informed.
“300 people at different managerial levels faced corruption charges since the beginning of last year. 22 of them were managers at the republican level, 83 of them – at the provincial level, the rest of them – at city and/or district level”, Mister Akhmetzhanov said.
600 cases were filed in relation to systemic corruption. 442 were being investigated in relation to systemic corruption.
“784 crimes were registered in relation to government purchases. 448 individuals were found to be committing these crimes”, he added.
