Negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program continue, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran
Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - The exact date of the next round of negotiations with the international "six" on the Iranian nuclear program has not been established. This was stated today by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Marzia Afham during a press briefing in Tehran, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
However, as the Iranian diplomat noted that the negotiations between the Islamic Republic and a group of international mediators (the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany) "must be continued".
Meanwhile, yesterday, Iranian Deputy of Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi, which is one of the most senior officials in the team of negotiators from Iran, said the official representatives of the parties may hold consultations on the Iranian nuclear program on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, which will be held in New York on September 16, this year.
According to him, there is also the likelihood that negotiators will meet in Geneva or Vienna before the start of the UN General Assembly in New York, with a view to agreeing on Iran and the international "six" technical aspects of the final agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran said that the Iranian government is doing everything to ensure that the final and long-term agreement on this issue was reached as soon as possible, but noted with regret that the negotiations for some reason are delayed by the opposite side.
