New Ebola outbreak declared in Congo

Beijing. May 11. Silkroadnews - According to WHO, a new outbreak of Ebola virus was registered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on May 8, 2018, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports with reference to Rospotrebnadzor.
In the past five weeks, there have been 21 suspected viral haemorrhagic fever in Bikoro in Equateur Province, including 17 deaths. With this, as informed by the health authorities of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, two out of five samples collected from five patients tested positive for EVD (Ebola virus disease) confirmed after laboratory results.
Rospotrebnadzor warned this information to be taken into account when planning travel to this area.
