Date: 11:32, 02-02-2018.

Beijing. February 2. Silkroadnews - The parliamentary elections in Afghanistan may be delayed, said Gulajan Abdulbadi Sayyad, the newly elected head of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) of Afghanistan, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
To remind, Sayyad headed the Election Commission supported by four votes out of seven in internal voting.
Earlier, the Election Commission members have already expressed their concerns saying that a reduced team of the commission that had been working for about two months could make it difficult to prepare for the parliamentary elections scheduled for July 7, 2018.
Sayyad said the commission continues working to appoint new employees and compensate for the lost time. Nevertheless, if elections timing is changed, the election observation organizations, press and support organizations will be informed duly.
To remind, the decisions by the commission did not have legal force while working in a reduced team.
