Next five years China to relocate about 10 million people from environmentally neglected zones

Almaty. September 23. Silkroadnews – With the approval of the State Council the PRC National Development and Reform Commission has recently announced the China program on resettlement of residents from environmentally neglected and underdeveloped areas during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) within the framework of the program on poverty elimination, «Xinhua» agency reports.
According to the plan, over the next five years China plans to relocate from these areas about 10 million people who have got the due registration.
The resettlement will affect about 1,400 counties of 22 provinces of China.
