Nine people suspected of liability in the power plant platform collapse have been detained China

Almaty. November 28. Silkroadnews – Chinese police arrested nine people suspected of liability in the power plant platform collapse in the east of the country leaving 74 people dead.  

The state news agency “Xinhua” reports, among the detained there are the head of Hebei Yineng Tower Engineering company in charge of the plant design and chief engineer of the construction project. Other details of the investigation are not disclosed.

The accident happened at the power station under construction in Fengcheng city district early in the morning on November 24: temporary structures collapsed inside a cooling tower station.

Rescue operations involved more than 300 people, including 200 soldiers. Rescue workers were searching for victims under the rubble using dogs and drones. The accident left 74 people killed.
