Number of victims in the strong earthquake in China exceeded 340 people

Almaty. August 10. Silkroadnews – Number of victims in the quake in the Chinese province of Sichuan exceeded 340 people, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to China Central Television.
According to TV report, as of 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday the 7.0 magnitude quake that struck Jiuzhaigou country left 19 people killed and 343 people injured, including 13 people reported to be in a serious condition and 2 people in a critical condition.
Previous reports informed on 217 injured and 19 dead.
To remind, at 09:19 p.m. (local time) on August 8 the 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, South-Western China, with more than a thousand aftershocks followed.
The death toll includes 6 tourists. More than 30 thousand tourists have been evacuated from Jiuzhaigou County.
Data by Kazakhstani seismologists data showed a 6.8 magnitude quake. 4.0 magnitude quakes have been recorded in Almaty, Taldykorgan and Zharkent, 2.0 magnitude quakes have been registered in Karaganda and Ust-Kamenogorsk. There is no data on injured people or damaged facilities.
Kazakhstani seismologists have then registered another seven earthquake shocks of 3.9-5.4 magnitude with difference of several minutes and hours. The last 4.2-magnitude earthquake was registered on August 10 at 6:10 a.m. of Almaty local time.
