Number of victims of earthquake in west of Iran increased to 287 people

Beijing. Jul 23. Silkroadnews - At least 287 people were injured in the earthquake that hit the province of Kermanshah in the west of Iran on Sunday, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports referring to the governor of the province Houshang Bazvand.
As the governor specified, eight of the injured had been hospitalized and the rest were released after the treatment. Earlier, the agency reported 128 injured.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported an earthquake was measuring at 5.9, with the epicenter at a depth of 10 km, 76 km to the west of the city of Kermanshah and 211 km to the north-east of Baghdad.
Earlier on Sunday two earthquakes of magnitude 4.6 and 5.4 hit southern Iran. No victims or damages have been reported, TASS noted.
